About Us

McBeath and Wiles Ltd is a firm of chartered surveyors and estate agents with offices in Malton and York and we service an area that includes Ryedale, Scarborough, East Riding, the City of York and North Yorkshire. Our main residential sales office is based in the market place in the market town of Malton.

Richard Wiles BSc MRICS, a Chartered Surveyor, has been involved in the property market for around 20 years and manages the Residential Sales side of the business as well as carrying out a large number of professional valuations and RICS Homebuyers Reports, as well as probate valuations, and Expert Witness Reports.

From our York office on Clifton Moor, we manage around 150 residential properties from blocks of flats, to small estates, and individual multi-occupied houses, via our sister company WILES LTD Chartered Surveyors.

LETTING AND MANAGEMENT
We act for a number of Landlords and have a proven track record for providing an efficient letting and management service. If you are interested in letting your property, please contact the office for more details on how we can assist you, and if appropriate we can come out to assess the property to advise you on an appropriate asking rental figure, and to discuss some of the practical issues to prepare your property for letting.

We can arrange for the references to be checked in respect of prospective tenants, prepare inventories of furnishings etc, and draw up tenancy agreements.

We can also assist in respect of a letting only service (tenant finding) or we can assist in respect of full on-going management and rent collection.

VALUATION
We carry out residential valuations for banks, other lenders, companies and individuals, for mortgages, loans, asset valuations, balance sheet, probate or other purposes.

DEVELOPMENT
We have direct experience of development appraisals and land sales. We have been involved in a variety of projects from start to finish and can advise on each stage of the process from planning and design through to investment sale.
